Balyeat Field

Balyeat Field, spanning 6.88 acres and located just north of downtown Sparta, MI, is named after the esteemed former Superintendent of Sparta Schools, O. E. Balyeat. The park features two soccer fields and connects to the Arches Parking Lot via a pedestrian bridge over Nash Creek.

Additionally, Buth Field, a 6-acre park, includes the Village of Sparta's first dog park, offering separate enclosures for large and small dogs. Both parks are open to the public and provide recreational spaces and amenities for community enjoyment.
