The Asian Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1994 by Dr. Douglas Chung in Grand Rapids, Michigan, addresses culturally sensitive human services needs within the Asian American community in West Michigan. In 2009, the organization expanded with a second location in Southfield, focusing on Southeast Michigan's Asian American population, and has continued to provide vital programs such as chronic disease self-management and hepatitis B awareness.
