Academy of the Sacred Heart

Academy of the Sacred Heart, located in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is a coeducational, college preparatory school established in 1851. The academy is approved by the Network of Sacred Heart Schools and North Central Association. It serves students in preschool through grade eight and enrolls more than 600 students. It offers classes at various school divisions, such as preschool, Montessori, primary and lower schools. The academy operates a middle school for boys and girls in grades five through eight and an upper school for girls in grades nine through 12. The academy s middle and upper schools curricula include mathematics, world languages, art, physical education, science and social studies. It also provides courses in technology, religious studies, and health and physical education. Additionally, the academy offers various sports activities, including hockey, tennis, volleyball, basketball and soccer. It provides nutritional counseling services to its students and offers after school learning programs. It also offers career and college guidance and courses in performing and visual arts.
