Abilities Center- Detroit institute for children

Founded in 1994, Abilities Center is a provider of therapy services and multi-disciplinary programming for children with developmental delays and special needs. Based in Commerce Twp, Mich., the facility features a central park, including an outdoor play set, flooring to replicate sidewalks, roads and more. It also offers video equipped treatment rooms for a variety of therapeutic activities, including a computer center, nursery for babies, kitchen for learning cooking and feeding issues and more. Abilities Center provides an array of services, including martial arts, music, open gym days, social skills, autism and community services. Some of its contract clients include Oakland Family Services, MORC Inc., Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency and Wayne Community Services.
