Mastery Transcript Consortium

The Mastery Transcript Consortium (MTC) is a national and global nonprofit membership organization that promotes mastery learning or competency-based education for all learners. They co-create flexible and scalable learning records to address the challenge of credentialing in this approach, enabling students to showcase their competencies and evidence of learning.

MTC works with forward-thinking schools, aligned districts, learner-centered states, and youth-serving organizations to accelerate equitable access to and widespread implementation of mastery learning models. They support the transformation of high school experiences by emphasizing real-world, collaborative, project-based learning and prioritizing 21st-century skills, social-emotional learning, and meta-cognitive skills. MTC's goal is to empower learners to chart successful postsecondary pathways and tell their own stories through mastery learning.
