I started preparing taxes at a large, national firm in 1996. Right away, I found I enjoyed helping my clients make the tax code work for them instead of always hoping for a refund, but sometimes being surprised, sometimes being disappointed. I helped my clients understand that taxes are a year-round proposition, not just April 15! Starting my own business lets me do that more effectively!
