HistoryCats n Jammers began September 2010 after the retirement of Bob and Jenn Acorn and Acorn Music Studios. Not enough can be said about the Acorns' generosity, turning over the business and many students to us. The Acorns established a great reputation around town and this allowed us to hit the ground running and we haven't slowed down yet. Although it was essentially ready to roll, we felt the studio could use a new look and a new approach. A colorful makeover, a drum lesson room with two full size acoustic kits, a performance room, aka 'The Back Alley Cafe,' and young, energetic instructors.SpecialtiesCats n Jammers Music Studio is a full service teaching and performance experience for all ages. The studio is equipped with amps, guitars, drums, computers, pianos, microphones, and a comfortable lobby for parents are all provided. In addition to 3 one on one rooms we also have a fully equipped theatre for student concerts and professional seminars. The instructors here at Cats n Jammers are professional musicians who are respectful and can relate to all of the students that study here. They have a combined lifetime of experience and truly enjoy passing on their knowledge and passion for music. The provided courses are: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano, Voice, Recording, and of course, our Build a Band program where anyone of any musical skill level can start a band with people their skill level. They can jam, rehearse, and perform with the band.
