Town Park in Wilmington, MA was a small ski area that operated during the 1950s and 1960s. Located on Route 38 near the Woburn border, it offered skiing on two slopes and possibly one or two trails, with a rope tow taking skiers up between the slopes. The area also featured a ballfield, though the name of the park is unknown.
Today, the remnants of the ski area can still be seen, including the tow towers and pulleys. While the slopes were short, the hill was well-used and popular among locals, quickly turning to hard-packed ice after snowfall. Visitors can now hike the former ski area and enjoy the surrounding woods, thanks to a Boy Scout Eagle Project that created a nature trail with interpretive signs.
