History
I started my doula practice in 2000 (after a doula training) when I worked for a non-profit with teen mom's in Portland OR. I attended midwifery school at National College of Midwifery and worked at the Northern NM midwifery center on 2003 for 3 years. I graduated and became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and started my midwifery practice in 2007. Since 2007, I have lived in the Boston area providing birth doula services, postpartum doula services and home birth midwifery care. As a midwife, I primarily work with Audra Karp and Megan Hill. As a doula, I collaborate with Susanna Mauzy and Cate Johannessen.
Specialties
Boston Community Midwifery and doulas strives to provide compassionate, evidence based and personalized care to the women we serve. We strongly believe in the continuity of care model for families during an exciting, vulnerable time in their lives. Our goal is to minimize stress and to empower women and their families in their processes during the prenatal, birth and postpartum period. It's important that women feel confident and trusting in their birthing environment whether that is the hospital, birth center or at home.
