Symphony Community Park

The Parks and Recreation Department of Boston is dedicated to creating and maintaining clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across more than 2,300 acres of parkland throughout the city. This includes iconic locations such as the Boston Common, the Public Garden, and the Olmsted-designed Emerald Necklace parks system, along with various recreational facilities and urban wilds.

In addition to managing parks, the department oversees 29 urban wilds, four high school athletic fields, and two public golf courses, while also caring for over 40,000 public street trees.
