The proposed Taunton River Trail is an ambitious 22-mile network of off-road trails and on-road bike lanes extending from Somerset to Taunton, designed to showcase the natural beauty of the Taunton River. A key feature of the trail will be a scenic 2-mile segment running through Sweets Knoll State Park in Dighton, offering pristine views for outdoor enthusiasts.
Currently in the conceptual design phase, the trail is being developed by an active committee comprising representatives from various organizations, including the Taunton River Watershed Alliance and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
