Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village, established in 1967, is a private, nonprofit organization that serves people with developmental disabilities. The organization has a staff of more than 150 people and serves over 350 adults. It operates a commercial cleaning company. Sunshine Village offers psychological, speech, physical and occupational therapies. The organization also provides day habilitation development training that includes money management, therapeutic, communication and health care services. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. The organization s programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation. It offers employment services to businesses throughout Massachusetts, as well as specializes in the areas of packaging, assembly, labeling and box folding. Sunshine Village maintains a nearly 12,000-square-foot assembly and distribution center.
