Founded in 1964, Shriver Job Corps is an education and vocational training program administered by the Department of Labor. It helps youths between the ages of 15 and 24 to get jobs. The program offers career counseling and transition support services. Shriver Job Corps is funded by the United States Congress. In addition, it provides career development services and teaches academic, vocational and employability skills. The program has campuses throughout the United States. It is certified by Pearson Education, Certiport, Microsoft Corporation, The Computing Technology Industry Association and Sun Microsystems. Shriver Job Corps is located in Devens, Mass.
