Royal Pastry Shop

Royal Pastry Shop was established in 1941 in East Cambridge, Massachusetts by Vincenzo and Ninetta Coppola. Vincenzo was born in Hamrun, Malta, but was of Sicilian descent. He emigrated to the United States in 1925 and worked in his uncle's pastry shop in Boston's North End until he opened Royal Pastry. Ninetta ( Urso ) Coppola was born in Floridia, Sicily and emigrated to Hartford, CT in 1920. Together they operated the business unit 1962 when twin sons Ernest and Salvatore Coppola took over the business. Today the original location still exists. In the 1973 the Coppola family opened a second store in Lexington, MA. In 1983 they opened a third location in Belmont Center. The business is still owned and operating by the Coppola family members. Our bakers continue to use the same Italian recipes that Vincenzo used 60 years ago. Since 1945 Royal Pastry Shop developed a full line of traditional American pastries, cakes and pies as well as their original full line of Italian Pastry, Cakes and Cookies. During the busy holiday times our product line expands, offering our customers an even larger selection of baked goods. Our bakers work 7 days a week to ensure fresh products. Over the years, our business has evolved from a small neighborhood pastry shop to a large supplier of fresh baked goods to customers, businesses, restaurants and caterers in Cambridge, Belmont, and Lexington and many surrounding communities.
