Nestl Waters North America entered the lives of Americans at a time when the country was looking to get in shape, eat better and generally adopt a healthier lifestyle. The company began in 1976 as a company that imported the French sparkling water, Perrier. Nestl Waters North America became a choice for people who wanted an all-natural beverage that was free of calories, caffeine and additives. By the early 1980s, Nestl Waters North America started adding domestic United States waters to its portfolio. Nestle Waters North America is the largest bottled water company in the United States, and it owns many of the nation's strongest regional brands. The company is headquartered in Greenwich, Conn., and has a location in Framingham, Mass.
