Children s Friend is a private, nonprofit agency that has been serving children and families since 1849. The agency offers professional services in the areas of children s mental health, adoption, educational and day care services for pregnant and parenting teens. It also provides community education on child and family mental health issues. Children s Friend also offers dialectical behavioral therapy for the treatment of adolescent girls with borderline personality disorders in an outpatient community mental health setting.
