Old Bridgewater Historical Society
The Old Bridgewater Historical Society is dedicated to promoting education and research related to the original township of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, and its inhabitants. They achieve this by collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting materials, artifacts, and information pertaining to Old Bridgewater's rich history.
Housed in the Memorial Building, which was built on land donated by a descendant of one of Bridgewater's earliest settlers, the society also oversees the Keith House. This historic parsonage, believed to be the oldest existing in the United States, was constructed in 1662 and served as a garrison house during King Philip's War.
