This is a good park for hiking if you're into the absence of paved roads and being immersed in the wildlife. We were targeting a relatively casual hike and definitely got what we came here for....

We stayed here in Yurt #2. One of the best yurt experiences. Having the ceiling fan in the yurt helped a lot. Very clean yurt. No bugs inside. Had a great stay. Bathroom are very clean as well.

October Mountain State Forest campground is very average. The gatekeepers were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are somewhat small and only have one shower in each of the men/women's bathrooms...
