New England Organ Bank

New England Organ Bank is an independent organ procurement organization located in Newton, Mass. The center serves more than 10 transplant centers and offers various types of organ transplantation services. It also provides various tissue banking activities in accordance with national standards and federal regulations. New England Organ Bank provides a wide range of 24- hour clinical support services. It also offers various support and information programs to donor families. The center works in association with more than 160 acute care hospitals and offers various programs in maximizing donation. It also offers research-based public awareness services, including print and billboard programs, as well as organizes presentations to churches, schools and civic groups. The bank is a member of Association of Organ Procurement Organizations and is approved by the American Association of Tissue Banks.
