South End Community Health Center (SECHC) is a comprehensive health care organization for all residents of the South End and surrounding communities. We are committed to providing high-quality, coordinated health care that is culturally and linguistically sensitive to every patient, regardless of ability to pay. SECHC was founded in 1969 by renowned pediatrician Dr. Gerald Hass, businessman Mel Scovell, and neighborhood activists in response to persistent health care disparities and lack of access to quality health care in Boston’s South End community. SECHC provides primary medical care (adult and family medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health), behavioral health services, and dental and eye care.

Douglas C. Riley, LICSW, BCD, is dedicated to helping people develop positive life skills utilizing goal-centered psychotherapy. He believes that people hold their own key to happiness and possess the power to positively change their lives. Doug Riley has been in private practice since 1980 and is passionate about helping people live the lives they deserve. Doug Riley was trained in stress management by Dr. Herbert Benson, MD, at Harvard Medical School. He is a Licensed, Independent Clinical Social Worker and is Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.
