The MIT Center for Civic Media, established in 2007, was a collaborative initiative between the MIT Media Lab and the Comparative Media Studies Writing program, dedicated to fostering participatory media and social change. Over its thirteen-year tenure, the center has brought together students, researchers, and community members to explore innovative projects that enhance civic engagement and improve local infrastructure.
