Founded in 1986, Bridges is a private, nonprofit organization that provides a range of services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The organization offers personal-centered planning, program design, nursing and psychological services. It also provides occupational and speech therapies. Bridges additionally offers vocational assessment and placement, job development, and transitional and supported employment services. The organization provides community resource integration and family support services. It maintains several offices in southern Rhode Island. Bridges has been a vendor for the Office of Rehabilitative Services since 1996. The organization is a member of the American Network of Community Options and Resources. It works in association with the Holy Ghost Society of Jamestown and the Habitat for Humanity.
