Known for its extensive boardwalk system that goes through forest, fields, and wetlands, Stony Brook offers up-close views of wildlife above and under the water. Located adjacent to the 140-acre Bristol Blake State Reservation and cooperatively managed with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), this former 18th-century mill site now supports native wildlife.

Lovely loop through woodsy packed trails around ponds full of lilypads, turtles, flora, butterflies, dragonflies, unique birds. Proper restrooms inside the building where you check in. Well marked...

We decided to take a walk with our dog here and we loved it! There were lots of cute bridges and overlooks. We saw no animals or birds, but it was fairly chilly and cloudy.

We love going here for serene walks with the kids and viewing the beauty that nature has to offer. Be on the lookout for Blue Heron and turtle as you "hike" and see the rebuilt boardwalk!

This is one of my husband and my favorite palces to go! Nice size walking trail with plenty to look at. There are a handful of little bridges overlooking the lake, and a longer bridge to an island...
