Mary Immaculate Health Care Services, based in Lawrence, Mass., offers a range of health care services to the residents of the city and surrounding areas. The organization operates a residential community for the elderly with an assisted living program. It also operates an adult day health center. The residential community houses more than 190 one- and two-bedroom apartments, and over 100 specially designed assisted living units. The services offered include dining, housekeeping, laundry, transportation, adult day health center and 24-hour staffing. The day center operates two sites, one within the residential community and the other at a bilingual and bicultural center where Spanish is spoken and meals are provided. At both sites, nurses, social workers and staff work with personal physicians and other community providers to meet the individual s medical, nursing, rehabilitative and social needs.
