MA Statewide Independent Living
The Massachusetts Statewide Independent Living Council (MASILC) is a Governor-appointed body dedicated to advancing disability policy throughout Massachusetts. Comprising primarily individuals with disabilities, MASILC focuses on promoting access, inclusion, and independence for this demographic across the state.
Working in collaboration with ten Centers for Independent Living (CILs), MASILC develops the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) to ensure quality Independent Living services are accessible to all Massachusetts residents with disabilities. Through various events, committees, and training sessions, MASILC fosters community engagement and awareness to support the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.
