Little Panda Child Care Center

Founded in 1976, Communities for People offers customized programs and services for children. The agency provides services related to foster care, adoption support, refugee resettlement and rehabilitation. Its therapeutic foster care program serves children who have been removed from their families due to severe neglect, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, and exposure to drugs and alcohol. In addition, Communities for People provides training in essential independent living skills, such as managing money, finding employment, and cooperating and compromising with roommates. The agency collaborates with local schools, agencies and organizations in order to provide a full spectrum of services for youths.

Children's Services of Roxbury and United Homes for Children merged to form Children's Services of Roxbury. Children's Services of Roxbury is one of the leading providers of child welfare and family services in Massachusetts. It offers a range of services and programs for economically disadvantaged infants, children, adolescents and families, as well as homeless adults. The agency addresses needs for food, shelter, safety and family support through promoting and strengthening healthy families and individuals and permanency placement for foster children. Children's Services of Roxbury deals in substance abuse problems, job-related skills, literacy barriers and welfare reform issues. The agency is a member of the Child Welfare League of America and the Black Administrators in Child Welfare. It is an affiliated agency of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. Children's Services of Roxbury is also one of the largest, minority-administered agencies in Greater Boston.

The Community Family is a nonprofit organization that has been providing a variety of health care services since 1978. It provides treatment for memory loss problems. The organization operates several centers, including The Everett Center, The Buddy Coholan Memory Loss Center and The Lowell Center. Its staff includes community leaders, health care professionals business leaders and social service providers. The Community Family offers nursing and prevention care services, as well as provides treatments for Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, it offers social, direct care and educational services. It undertakes a variety of stimulating activities, such as discussions, outings, gardening and celebrations. The Community Family maintains one of its locations in Medford, Mass.
