Springfield Partners for Community Action is a nonprofit organization that focuses on job training, health care, housing and economic development issues of low-income families. It offer the Youth IDA program, which helps in buying homes, enrolling in colleges and starting businesses by opening matched savings accounts. The organization additionally offers a homeownership program that rehabilitates distressed housing into homes for sale to low-income buyers. Springfield Partners for Community Action serves as a low-income verification site that helps clients in completing the necessary forms to qualify for food vouchers at local food pantries. It operates a child care center that serves snacks and organizes field trips for preschoolers. In addition, the organization provides the Weatherization Assistance Program, which offers energy efficiency services and materials to single-family homes, multifamily dwellings, and manufactured homes.
