Founded in 1976, Delta Projects is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, employment and respite supports to more than 150 adults and children suffering from mental disorders and other developmental disabilities. It provides 24-hour residential support to adults and offers services, including case management, clinical consultation, emergency and vocational support services. The organization has been providing supported employment since 1990 that offers skill assessment, job training, on-site job supervision and general work practices. Its Delta House program offers after school and respite support for children and young adults between 5- and 21-years. The organization is funded by the Department of Mental Retardation, grants, donations and fundraising activities. Delta Projects is located in Needham, Mass.

Started in 1993, FAMILY SUPPORT Early Intervention is a program monitored and licensed by the Department of Public Health. The program includes family-centered developmental services to children and treatment for prematurity and low birth weight. It also deals with the problems of poor nutrition, poisoning and drug exposure. FAMILY SUPPORT Early Intervention has a team of nurses, occupational and physical therapists, social workers, speech pathologists and psychologists. The program additionally includes developmental evaluation, community-based group support, parent and professional trainings and educational and referral services. Located in Danvers, Mass., it serves more than 300 children and families. FAMILY SUPPORT Early Intervention is a part of The North Shore Arc, which offers support care to people with disabilities.
