South Boston, MA 02127

Joe Moakley Park, nestled in South Boston, is undergoing exciting transformations through the Resilient Moakley Park Plan, aimed at improving community spaces while addressing climate resilience. With investments from city, state, and federal entities, plans include upgrading sports fields, adding gathering areas, and enhancing landscape features to manage stormwater and prevent flooding.

The park will feature elevated walking paths with scenic views of Boston Harbor and ongoing engagement initiatives like the Moakley Summer Nights series and monthly clean-ups. These developments promise to create a vibrant, sustainable environment for both residents and visitors over the next several years.
