HistoryAnother Country Productions burst onto the Boston Theater scene with SLAMBoston, their innovative 10 minute play competition in 2003. In 2005, they began offering a full curriculum of classes in the Meisner Technique as well as producing SLAMBoston and longer theatrical offerings. In 2011, new classes in movement, character-building and original work expanded their educational reach.SpecialtiesAnother Country specializes in offering acting classes in the Meisner Technique. The next Level 1 class starts on 7/16/13 at the Boston Playwrights' Theatre and runs for 6 weeks. Lyralen Kaye, founder and primary educator, MFA Sarah Lawrence College, has been teaching for over 25 years, writing and publishing, acting, directing and producing. Her students have been cast in productions by Boston's premier theatre companies and in such films as Gone Baby Gone, Pink Panther II, The Invention of Lying, 27 Dresses and more.
