History
I am Steph, and I started Howl Mountain Canine along with my furry partner, Brixy. After I adopted my first dog Ruca, I really fell involve with training. Ruca was so fun to train. He flew through multiple levels of group classes, started training in some sport, and was the therapy dog at the special needs school that I worked for. Years later I got my current dog Brixy- a husky mix with some extra emotional and behavioral needs. Not until I was introduced to a science based world would I be able to help Brixy navigate her world. Training her went far beyond a clicker and some treats. I decided to make the career change and take my previous behavior education and further it by enrolling in a dog training certification at Animal Behavior College, and Family Dog Mediation certification course. Since then I have worked with shelter and rescue dogs with behavioral and emotional needs, pet dogs and families with their foundational skills and behavior struggles. See website for full bio.
