Founded in 1897, The Society of Arts and Crafts is engaged in development, sales, recognition and education of American crafts. Based in Boston, Mass., the organization sponsors exhibitions, the Artist Awards programs and educational programming. It has a retail gallery as well as an exhibition gallery that features several exhibitions. Promoting the work of over 400 craft artists from across the United States, its retail gallery exhibits work in a variety of media, including ceramics, glass, wood, metal, fiber and mixed media.
