WCAC Head Start is a dynamic preschool program in Southbridge, MA, offering center-based education for children ages 3-5. With sites in Southbridge, Webster, East Brookfield, and Leicester, WCAC Head Start focuses on language, literacy, and social-emotional development to prepare children for school. They provide full-day, half-day, year-round, and school-year classrooms, serving income-eligible families from various communities in Southern Worcester County. WCAC Head Start is committed to providing developmentally appropriate curricula, health and nutrition services, special education opportunities, and family services. Established in 1987, Fort Meadow School Early Childhood Center teaches students in prekindergarten and kindergarten. It maintains various school organizations, including a school site council and parent-teacher organization that conducts monthly meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school.
