History

Hatched was created to be a place where childhood would be celebrated - with clothes that kids love to wear, and toys that teach them to expand their minds and imaginations - not fit them into a box. We believe that supporting the organic clothing industry is a small, but significant way that each consumer can help to preserve our planet for generations to come. Our mission to provide eco-friendly goods to children is rounded out with a selection of cloth diaper supplies and high quality toys. While many of the products we sell could be found online when we opened in 2005, there were no local shops to visit. We are proud to maintain a brick and mortar store to encourage people to shop close to home. We love the community of people we have met, the children we have seen grow. These are experiences that cannot be duplicated when shopping online. It is a big part of why we exist.

Specialties

We have the largest selection of organic fiber clothing for children in the Boston area. Not only are all of our clothes organic, but we also research each and every company we purchase from to make sure that they uphold ethical and environmentally friendly manufacturing standards. We love to carry as many goods made in the US as possible. We avoid goods made in China. The clothes we sell let kids be kids - not mini adults. Our selection of toys encourage creativity and open play.
