The Harwich Ecumenical Council for Housing (HECH) is a non-profit organization based in Harwich Port, MA, with a mission to provide affordable housing to families on Cape Cod. Founded in 1990, HECH recognized the need for childcare services for families who were unable to work due to young children at home, leading to the establishment of The Children's Center in 1993. With over 30 years of experience, The Children's Center offers high-quality child care and education, licensed by The Department of Early Education and Care, and serves families with children aged 2.9 to 5 years old.

HECH and The Children's Center have grown and relocated over the years, but their commitment to their mission remains unwavering. They are proud to provide a sliding-scale tuition structure for income-eligible families and offer scholarships through the Libby Arnold Stevens Trust to assist families during financial crises.
