History

Founded by Philip Emmanuel, Grape Leaf: A Mediterranean Grille is devoted to bringing the tastes of Greece to you at an affordable price. Cooking since he was a child, Philip honed his craft as he worked in kitchens and compared Greek foods from restaurants all over world. In 2011, he designed and built Renula's Greek Kitchen which operated out of Brookline, Needham, and Newton. And after perfecting his family's recipes and incorporating all he has learned as the owner of a mobile kitchen, Philip has now opened establishment in Newton Highlands. Grape Leaf, a Mediterranean Grille is sure to transport you right to Rhodes.

Specialties

Raised in the small village of Gennadi, on the island of Rhodes, Greece, Renula taught her son Philip to cook. With the help of his Aunts (Renula and Vasilia), his Grandmothers (Eleni and Tina) and his sisters (Eleni, Christina and Vasilia), Philip, the owner of Grape Leaf, A Mediterranean Grill, learned the fine art of preparing traditional Rhodian fare.
