Beacon Hill Nursery School was founded in 1955 and is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. Based in Boston, it is a nonprofit school and the tuition fee goes directly to the operating budget to support salaries, facilities, curriculum development, program expenses and tuition assistance. Each classroom has a book and science area, computer, a water and sand table, dramatic play area, art supplies, large and small blocks and a variety of manipulative materials and games. Beacon Hill Nursery School s library features more than 3,500 books, tapes and videos for children and the books are also used for daily story times. The school has custom-designed, on-site playgrounds and a gymnasium that is also used for staging plays and special events.
