I picked up 8 dozen ears of corn for canning this morning. It had just been picked, and it was so sweet that we were eating the raw kernels like candy! And every ear was big and fat - wonderful...

I have been going to Gary's for years, best corn around. Great assortment of produce especially during the harvest months, you gotta love New England. I bought the biggest tomato plants around...

Old corn..soft tomatoes ..rotting fruit..maybe if you go earlier in the summer ...but I gave it a chance and wish I didn't. So much hope ..so little freshness.

Be sure to count your change!!! My total was $5.98, I gave them a twenty. The guy behind the counter got annoyed that I don't have a $10 or a $5 and a $1. We went back and forth a few times...
