Fountain Plating Co Inc

The Fountain Plating Company was established in 1944 when Electro Analysis Laboratories was opened by Laurence R. Fountain in a garage in West Springfield, Mass. Fountain was an electro chemist with the Westinghouse Corporation, and realized there was a need within the metal finishing industry for analysis and consultation services in regard to electroplating. As a result, Fountain Plating Company was founded to accept electroplating assignments. The company provides a variety of services, including plating and finishes, specialty processes, applied coatings, assortment of inspection methods, mechanical finishing, specifications, laboratory with onsite baking in vacuum and inert atmospheres, chemical and metallurgical laboratories with ultrasonic cleaning, atomic absorption unit with salt spray and humidity chambers, nondestructive testing dimensional restoration of base materials, scanning electron microscope specialty plating and hand engraving firearms, X-ray fluorescence truck fleet for pick up and deliveries and hydrogen embrittlement rupture bar test research and development services.
