History
In 1974, Robert Cartelli opened the first Fathers & Sons New and Used Car dealership in West Springfield with only six employees. The initial franchises included Saab, Volvo, Audi, and Porsche. Volkswagen was added in 1991, and the Kia franchise was taken on in 1997. Robert grew the dealerships to what they are today. Robert's son, Damon, began working at Fathers & Sons when he was only 14 performing a variety of duties including managing the lot, washing cars, and working in the service department. After graduating from Boston College in 1994, Damon joined his father selling cars and honing his skills to be the successor in the family business. He received a diploma from the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Dealer Candidate Academy in 1998 and was named General Manager in 2001. Damon Cartelli is now President, owner, and General Manager of the Fathers & Sons dealerships in West Springfield, MA
