Evergreen Center

Established in 1901, South Boston Neighborhood House is a nonprofit organization that provides social services. It operates a senior center that offers senior citizens an opportunity to maintain independence. The organization provides adolescent programs for youths. In addition, South Boston Neighborhood House s early education and care programs provide support to families through child care, part-time play groups, out-of-school-time activities, and parent support. Its family reading program works to improve the educational preparedness of children. The organization has collaborations with the Massachusetts Association of Early Education and Care, South Boston Association of Non-Profits and Massachusetts Association of Settlement Houses.
