Since 1973, when it was founded as the Family Planning Council of Western Massachusetts, Tapestry has been the only organization in the region to continually provide reproductive health care to the area's most neglected residents, teenagers, women living in poverty, recent immigrants, uninsured individuals, the homeless, injection drug users, and men and women with HIV or AIDS.
