History

With my Italian and Eastern European blood, home cooking has always been important to me. All-natural home cooking didn't come as easily. I was a child of the 1980s, and the ease of spray cheese, processed meats and canned soups reigned supreme. I spent 10 years in the Netherlands, during which time I discovered amazing produce and organic meat markets, and these became intrinsic ingredients in my cooking. When my stepmom Evana was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2011, we did an abrupt about-face in our family regarding food. No more nuking plastic containers, no more unnecessary preservatives. We started thinking much more thoughtfully about what we wanted to go into our bodies. Now, with two little ones of my own, I make sure that everything they eat is as wholesome and natural as can be. Cooking food slowly and cleanly is our way of spreading the love, for our kids and any of you who are rad enough to purchase our products. After all, hot soup is cool!
