History

Yelena B. Coming from a long line of professional dress makers, Yelena Burdan began working with needles when she was 7 years old making her first straight seem. Since then she became one of the most talented sewers and designers in area. Following her passion, she moved to the United States 18 years ago from Odessa in the Ukraine and began working on Newbury St. in one of the top Bridal salons in Boston. In order to further make use of her talents, her next step was to found her own company specializing in window treatments. Thus Design & Thread was born.

Custom window treatments, Roll pleat, Pinch pleat sheers and drapery, Custom Shades, Valances, Pillows. Drapery Hardware, FABRIC & Trim. Cellular, Solar and roller, Sheer and Layered Shades.
