History

CrossFit Boston started with a passion to bring REAL fitness to the city of Boston. Neal Thompson, Founder, was a personal trainer in the city and was unhappy with standard fare of options presented to clients. Neal first began training under the CrossFit methodology in 2004 and a year later the doors to CrossFit Boston opened. CrossFit Boston is the 21st CrossFit Affiliate formed in the world and the first in all of New England. We are proud of the fact that more than 10 other CrossFit Affiliates exist today while gaining their roots here. Today there are more than 10000 CrossFit Affiliates worldwide. The original vision has not changed. As CrossFit has evolved it has become even more apparent the need for professional coaching and to provide a higher service to clients. That is why CrossFit Boston is part of the MadLab Group and works with its clients as if they are family and customizes each person's program to fit the individual needs of the client.
