Founded in 1978, Creative Arts is a nonprofit community school for art, music and theater. It serves elementary schools children with enrichment programs, primarily in the visual arts. The organization provides cultural services to more than 500 families from over 25 communities in Massachusetts. Its music program includes instruction in violin, viola, and piano, as well as traditional music instruction on several band and orchestral instruments. Creative Arts visual arts program features classes for adults, children and adolescents. It also conducts off-site lessons and classes at Andover's West Parish church and various elementary schools. Additionally, the organization offers after- and during-school arts enrichment programs. Located in Reading, Mass., Creative Arts, in collaboration with Reading Community Television, organizes television production classes and workshops. It is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.
