Founded in 1999, Communispace Corporation is a privately held company that builds, manages, facilitates and runs private online customer communities. The range of services includes community strategy definition and launch and ongoing community management and reporting. It offers a variety of services, including community design, site setup, member recruitment, activity planning and design, community facilitation, member management, and insight analysis and reporting. The communities feature home pages, member profiles, polling and voting and chat options, gallery exhibits, a reference center, instant messaging, external events and activities, e-mail notifications and publishing options. It employs approximately 150 people and runs nearly 250 communities.
