Berkshire Bank

Berkshire Hills Bancorp is a holding company for Berkshire Bank and owns all of its outstanding shares. The company has no significant liabilities. Management of the company and the bank are substantially similar and the company neither owns nor leases any property, but instead uses the premises, equipment and furniture of the bank. The bank is a community bank that accepts retail deposits from the general public in the areas surrounding its nearly 15 full-service banking offices. It uses those funds, together with funds generated from operations and borrowings, to originate residential mortgage loans, commercial business real estate loans and consumer loans, primarily automobile loans and home equity lines of credit. Berkshire Bank maintains its corporate headquarters in Pittsfield, Mass.
