Benny's Oil Serv

Back in the early 1930's Benny Giallonardo started delivering ice to the townspeople of Franklin and Medway. He would break the heavy ice and load into boxes for people to store their food. Later, Benny would add a kerosene truck and deliver the fuel to heat homes and run stoves. Benny ran his business from his home on Wachusett Street in Franklin. Benny worked at his business and competed in many sports as well. In 1946 he was a player-sponsor of the Mass. Semi-Pro Baseball championship team Benny's Oilers. Through the years the company has been fortunate enough to help many youth sports programs and Benny himself was one of the founders of Franklin's Little league. The King Street baseball field in Franklin is named in his honor.In 1960 Benny purchased some land and tanks on Cottage St. in Franklin and the company became Benny's Oil Service, Inc With the population growing in Franklin the oil business was thriving. In 1977 the company was run by Benny's son Greg and daughter Linda. The Company employed a full service staff and offered budget plans and installed many heating systems. After the oil crisis of the late 1970's the heating oil business saw many changes. Many companies were bought and family owned companies were fading away. Fortunately, the company stayed together. What came after the crisis were many new efficient heating systems and the company responded well by installing them in many homes.In 2001 the company moved to our current site at 241 Cottage Street. We currently service the following towns, Franklin, Wrentham, Norfolk, Bellingham, Medway, Milford, Blackstone, Hopedale, Mendon and Plainville. We offer many valuable programs such as Pre-buy and Cap Oil plans, budget plans, discounts, service plans, and oil tank protection. We have a 24 hour emergency service for all our customers and we have maintained our commitment to great customer service.
