Attachment Institute of New England provides treatment, education, and support for children and families experiencing trauma and attachment issues.Attachment Institute of New England was founded in 1999 by Dr. Megan Kirby, Mr. Kenneth Frohock Dr. Joseph Lyons as the New England Institute for Attachment and Bonding, a program of Children's Friend, Inc, in order to better serve the needs of adoptive and foster families struggling with issues of attachment and attachment disorder. In October 2002, the New England Institute for Attachment and Bonding became a separate entity from Children's Friend, Inc to become Attachment Institute of New England.Attachment Institute is a registered member of the Association for Treatment and Training in the Attachment of Children ( ATTACh ). ATTACh is an international coalition of professionals and families dedicated to helping those with attachment difficulties by sharing knowledge, talents and resources. Attachment Institute adheres to the ethical guidelines and standards of care promoted by ATTACh.
